See what you actually have
This part usually turns up duplicate customers, half empty records and data nobody has touched in years. It is also where you decide what is not worth bringing across at all.
Data migration
Data migration moves your information from one system to another, for example spreadsheets into a CRM or an old platform to its replacement. The work is mostly auditing and cleaning before anything moves. Most migrations take two to four weeks, and the old system stays available until you confirm the new one is right.

How it works
01
This part usually turns up duplicate customers, half empty records and data nobody has touched in years. It is also where you decide what is not worth bringing across at all.
02
Deduplicate, standardise the formats, fix or drop the empty fields. Skipping this is why migrations go wrong. A mess moved into a new system is still a mess, and now it is in the system you are stuck with.
03
We run the full migration into a copy of the new system and you check it. Pick records you know well and confirm every field arrived. Mistakes are cheap to fix at this point and expensive later.
04
Done in a planned window, usually outside your working hours, with a full backup taken first. Your old system stays up until you have confirmed the new one is correct.
Cost
Total project cost, not a day rate. You get the price in writing after the free audit, before anything starts. Anything larger is quoted separately.
Questions
Between GBP 2,000 and GBP 7,000 for most migrations, roughly USD 2,500 to USD 8,800. The price is driven by how messy the source data is and how many systems are involved, not by how many records you have. Fifty thousand clean records cost less to move than five thousand inconsistent ones.
Two to four weeks is typical. The move itself usually takes hours. The time goes into auditing, cleaning and testing beforehand, and rushing those stages is the most common reason a migration has to be done twice.
No. We run a test migration first and you verify it, then the real move happens in a planned window, usually overnight or at a weekend. Your old system stays available until you have confirmed the new one is correct.
Nothing should be irreversible. There is a full backup of the source data before anything moves, and a documented way back. If a supplier cannot explain their rollback plan in one sentence, they do not have one.
Almost always. CRMs, accounting software, booking systems and spreadsheets are all routine. If your system is unusual we check it can be read and written during the free audit, before you commit to anything.
We will tell you what we would do, what it would cost, and whether it is worth doing. Yours to keep either way.
